Kettering, OH- For fans of Honey Hill Farm and Rob Dyrdek’s hit MTV show “Fantasy Factory,” the episode that aired on February 13th, “Ultimate Funcle,” was a match made in heaven.

Honey Hill Farm shot the episode in October of 2013 at the home of Dyrdek’s sister, in his hometown of Kettering, OH.  Not wanting to ruin the surprise, no social media or advertising for the upcoming show was done until after it aired.

This made for a big surprise for unsuspecting viewers, who immediately turned to Facebook and Twitter to express their surprise at seeing some of Honey Hill Farm’s most recognizable animals- Larry the Camel, Matilda the Kangaroo, Squeak the Cavy, and Little Bear the exceptionally tiny miniature horse-on MTV.

The show’s premise involved Dyrdek travelling to his sister’s home in order to meet  (and shower with gifts) his new nephew. Wanting to be the “ultimate fun uncle” or “funcle,” he turned his sister’s backyard into a petting zoo for the infant.

Honey Hill Farm staff was on the set for the entire shoot, to ensure the safety of the people and animals, and in spite of Larry the Camel being portrayed as a little feisty, they would like to assure everyone that he was simply playing like baby camels do, and the behavior was encouraged.

Honey Hill Farm has been involved in several film and television shoots in the past, including a Henline Productions film that is still in production, a Kentucky Lottery commercial , and a different MTV show “High School Stories.”

Farm Manager Robert Powell stated that the film and television shoots are always fun and challenging, because each one is unique and completely different than the usual services that Honey Hill Farm provides. And as always, working with MTV was a pleasure.
