How we want to look

We strive to be the highest quality, cleanest, safest, and most interactive pony ride and petting zoo in the country. This is a PROMISE that we have made to our customers. Specifically, this means that we will provide clean, gentle animals, friendly, professional employees, and well-maintained facilities AT ALL TIMES.

The Rules of Appearance and Customer Service

  • Always maintain a safe environment for animals, guests, and your co-workers.
  • Be polite and enthusiastic with every guest, even if you’re having a bad day. This is an exciting activity for them, so don’t be a buzzkill.
  • If you smoke, do it in private. You must not be seen smoking in a HHF uniform and under no circumstances are you to smoke in the barnyard area.
  • No plastic buckets or dishes should be visible to the public.
  • Do not place handwritten signs in public areas. If you need a sign, we will provide you with a professional one.
  • Equipment and facilities should be in good working condition. Please let us know immediately if anything needs to be replaced or repaired.
  • Absolutely no cell phones should be seen by guests. Keep phones in the barn or backstage, where they will not be a temptation. Catch up on your texts and Instagram on your break.
  • Absolutely no complaining to theme park management or employees. We are there to meet their needs, not the other way around. If you need to address an issue with the park, it must go through us. We should appear as professional, happy and self-sufficient as possible to each theme park at all times.
  • Remember that you only have a second to make a first impression. Our appearance should be up to standards at all times. If someone catches a glimpse of something unprofessional, that impression stays with them forever.
